Membership Information

The TRA invites anyone interested in helping perpetuate TR’s legacy to become a member. . .

MEMBERSHIP IN THE THEODORE ROOSEVELT ASSOCIATION HAS ITS BENEFITS
As stated in the opening portion of the TRA’s Vision Statement, “the purpose of the Theodore Roosevelt Association of Oyster Bay, New York, is to perpetuate the memory and ideals of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States, for the benefit of the people of the United States of America and the world.”

Among its many activities, the TRA:

  • encourages and supports scholarly research and writing on Theodore Roosevelt,
  • publishes the Theodore Roosevelt Association Journal and Legacy,
  • helps to fund the Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt Naval History Prize,
  • funds police awards and high school public speaking contests,
  • supplies Teddy Bears to children in hospitals through the Teddy’s Bears for Kids program,
  • is in the process of planning for the construction and operation of the world-class, “green” Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Museum and Research Center in Oyster Bay.

Additional Chapter and Regional membership:
In addition to the "all member" activities of the TRA, there are some Chapter and Regional activities. You will have the option to join a chapter or region in the next step of the process.
