We strongly recommend that your group arrive by Monday evening! This will be our host hotel for dinner the evening before the cruise and from where transportation to the aircraft carrier will leave at 5:30 AM Tuesday morning. Registration packets will be available on Monday and early Tuesday morning at the hotel. You’ll need your name badge to board the bus and ship. Please make your own hotel reservations. Two Options for Dinner on Monday Evening
- Executive Package
For those registered as Executive Package, there will be a special dinner with officers and crew members, 6:00 pm cocktail hour followed by dinner at 7:00 PM.
This will be a high end event at the new Serea Restaurant located at the famous Hotel del Coronado.
- General Package
Celebration Dinner with the Crew of the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71)
Come meet some of the crew of the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) as we celebrate the ship’s return from deployment and a job well done. There will be a 6:00 PM cocktail hour with cash bar, followed by dinner at 7:00 PM. This event will be held across the street from our host hotel at the beautiful Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego Hotel
The buses will leave from the Embassy Suites San Diego Bay Downtown Hotel starting at 5:00 AM for the aircraft carrier. The last bus will leave at 5:30 AM. This is an all-day event. The ship will return in the late afternoon and bus transportation will be provided back to the hotel. You must be on the bus in order to join the cruise. No personal cars will be able to enter the base. Note: If you miss the bus, you will miss the cruise. Registration Packets will be available at the host hotel on Monday, August 12th, and early Tuesday morning, August 13th, for pick-up by registrants.
Cruise Details and Restrictions
Guests must be US Citizens and at least 8 years old. All adults must bring a valid driver’s license or passport. No sandals or flip flops. Please wear comfortable clothing. We recommend hats, sunscreen and jacket for cooler weather. TRA Guests will be divided into tour groups of 15-20 each with crew member guides. Three light meals on board will be provided. Many exciting events are being planned.
Important Registration Note
USS TR FFDC 2019 Waiver Guest Forms for TRA Guests must be completed by EVERY person attending the cruise and returned to the TRA National office by July 10th. You can download, print and fill out these forms from our website. Please also download, print and read the USS TR Friends and Family Cruise Information 2019 document before registering for this event.
Registration form online will require identification information for EACH person attending this event as requested by the Ship for security clearances (full name and date of birth, PLUS driver’s license #, state id # OR SSN. Please be sure to have ALL of this information ready before your proceed to register online.
