Sergeant Robert Pearsey
A fourth generation Indianapolis police officer, Sgt. Pearsey was sworn in on April 29, 1996. He worked thirteen years as a patrolman and detective before being promoted to sergeant. His most recent assignment was in the Special Investigations Unit, and it was in the line of duty in 2016 that he was shot twice and injured while protecting the victim in a domestic disturbance. After eight surgeries and physical therapy, Sgt. Pearsey will be released to full duty later this year. His family includes his wife of nineteen years, Jennifer; three children, and one grandchild.
