Junior Rough Riders Membership
The Theodore Roosevelt Association (TRA) Junior Rough Riders Membership empowers youth ages 10–18 to carry forward Theodore Roosevelt’s legacy of leadership, courage, service, and dedication to community. Through volunteerism, civic engagement, and hands-on experiences, members learn to embody the Roosevelt spirit while making a meaningful difference in their communities.
Membership Details
- Eligibility: Youth ages 10–18
- Annual Membership Fee: $50 per year
- Service Requirement: Minimum of 2 community service hours per month
- Program Focus: Leadership development, service projects, and historical engagement
Core Activities
- Community Service Projects
Members are required to volunteer at least 2 hours per month of service in their local community. The member can pick any activity that they are passionate about. Opportunities can include:
- Environmental projects (park cleanups, conservation efforts, tree planting)
- Supporting local food banks and shelters
- Organizing drives for clothing, school supplies, or toys
- Volunteering at TRA events and historical preservation efforts
- Leadership Development Workshops
Members will receive invitation Monthly virtual sessions focusing on:
- Public speaking & debate (inspired by Roosevelt’s leadership)
- Leadership
- Civic responsibility & citizenship
- Team building, time management, and project planning
- Teddy Bears for Kids Program
- Junior Rough Riders will support the TRA’s long-standing initiative, providing comfort to children in hospitals, shelters, and community centers through the donation and distribution of Teddy Bears.
Junior Rough Riders Membership Perks
