We are pleased to announce that, due to the hospitality of the National War College, National Defense University, and the generosity of our sponsors, we are able to offer attendance to the 2023 Annual Meeting and Gala Reception at a very affordable price. Not only that -- we are also adding a family component to the 2023 Annual Meeting. Most of the major events will have children’s activities and babysitting! It’s a great way to connect your children and grandchildren - or your favorite students or mentees - to the past, to teach them how the past connects with the present, and to watch history come alive for them.

National War College Policies
Due to military base restrictions, REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2023. All registrants will need to complete mandatory documentation to enter bases, unless registrant has a valid military ID.
Military Base Documentation form will be sent to Registrants in advance of event.
All registrations and Military Base Documentation MUST be submitted no later than September 15th.
Cancellation Policy
Full refund of the registration fee will be provided for cancellations received on or before September 1, 2023.
Cancellations after September 1 will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee.

Theodore Roosevelt Island National Memorial
Directions By Car:
Drivers can only reach Theodore Roosevelt Island from the northbound lanes of the George Washington Memorial Parkway. After Memorial Bridge, follow the sign to turn right into the parking lot. Please note that you must park in a designated parking space. US Park Police regularly tickets drivers who have parked on the grass.
Transportation
Registrants will be required to use TRA provided shuttle buses to get on and off Fort McNair. The only exception will be if the Registrant has a valid military ID. Visitors must let us know at the time of registration whether they will be needing shuttle bus service from host hotel to Fort McNair - NWC, versus having military ID and driving themselves.
Inclusions and Exclusions
There will be no transportation provided for the off-base optional Tours and Excursions. We recommend that registrants use public transit and/or Uber/Lyft to their selected location (these services are abundant in DC). Thursday, Friday, and Sunday meals are on your own; suggestions will be provided. The Friday evening cocktail reception, and the Saturday morning light buffet (full breakfast is included at the host hotel), Saturday afternoon lunch, and a Gala Cocktail party including heavy hors d’oeuvres are all included in the Full Package fee. Thursday evening Embassy Panel and Reception is optional and an additional cost for full package registrants and Sponsors only. No transportation provided for this evening event.
Registration Packets
Name badge/registration packets will be available for pickup at the front desk at Roosevelt Hall at Fort Leslie J. McNair or at the host hotel by request. Optional Tour and Excursion assignments will be in the registration packets; please look at these as soon as you arrive and register.
