We are pleased to announce that, due to the hospitality of the National War College, National Defense University, and the generosity of our donors, we are able to offer in-person attendance to the 2023 Annual Meeting and Gala Reception at a very low price. In an effort to make the event as accessible as possible, we are slashing our 2023 rates!

Important Registration Information
The TRA Annual Meeting, October 26-29, at the National War College (NWC) will be in-person, after having to go virtual at our 2020 NWC Symposium. The hybrid meeting will also be available by webcast to all registrants.


For those of you who register as a Virtual Attendee, you will receive the webcast information as soon as it is available so that you may enjoy many of the planned events as if you were there in person. This will include all three scheduled Symposium panels, select speakers, the award presentation to General Zinni and his subsequent remarks and special virtual tours of the National War College and Theodore Roosevelt Island.

Registration Fees
Due to military base restrictions, registration will close on September 15, 2023. All registrants will need to complete advance documentation to enter bases, unless registrant has a military ID.

Full Symposium Package - $ 299 per person includes:

  • Friday and Saturday Symposiums
  • Saturday Evening Gala Reception with GEN Anthony Zinni
  • One scheduled tour of the National War College’s Roosevelt Hall*
  • One assigned scheduled optional excursion, to be assigned based on availability*
  • Sunday excursion to Theodore Roosevelt Island
  • Transportation to/ from host hotel to NWC and to/ from Theodore Roosevelt Island
    Note: As of September 25, shuttle bus is full and no longer available for late registrants.
  • Friday evening reception, light breakfast on Saturday, Saturday lunch, and Saturday evening’s Awards Presentation & Gala Reception

Child Full Symposium Package - $150 per child (up to age 14) includes all of the above

Thursday Evening German Embassy Panel & Reception - $60

  • Embassy Panel & Reception is optional and an additional cost for Full-Package Registrants.

TRA Awards Presentation and Gala Reception only - $200 per person

Virtual Attendee – $50 per Computer includes:

  • Friday and Saturday Symposiums
  • Keynote Address by General Anthony ZInni and USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) 2023 Jr. Officer Award

*Upon registration, you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to a Tours & Excursions form. Please fill out the form as soon as possible. Excursions will be assigned based upon date of registration and Tours & Excursions form input, availability of the requested excursions, the times the excursions are offered in relation to attendees' travel schedules, and party size.

*Attendees with limited scheduling availability may not be able to take advantage of optional inclusions.

Cancellation Policy
A full refund of the registration fee will be provided for cancellations received on or before
September 1, 2023. Cancellations received after September 1 will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee.

The National War College (NWC), National Defense University (NDU), Department of State (DoS), and Department of Defense (DoD) do not endorse the TRA or its activities. Allowing members of the TRA to participate in the academic symposium to be held at NWC does not constitute an endorsement of the TRA by the DoD, NDU, DoS, or the NWC. The TRA is not charging for the privilege of entering Fort McNair or Roosevelt Hall for the purpose of attending events held at NWC.
