The Theodore Roosevelt Association Partners with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides and Services)
The Theodore Roosevelt Association (TRA), chartered by an act of Congress in 1920 perpetuates the legacy of the twenty-sixth President of the United States, has a rich history of forming strategic partnerships to further its mission. The TRA is proud to announce its newest collaboration with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides and Services), a nonprofit that facilitates vehicle donations to benefit charities.
In this partnership, the TRA and CARS work together to provide supporters with a way to donate unwanted vehicles, which then helps fund TRA’s wide array of programs—ranging from education and scholarship to ongoing preservation of TR’s legacy through archival projects and public service initiatives. By leveraging the expertise of CARS in managing charitable vehicle donations, the TRA can offer a seamless process for donors and maximize contributions for their ongoing work.
“Partnerships like the one with CARS echo the spirit of collaboration championed by Theodore Roosevelt himself, furthering positive social change while making charitable giving accessible and impactful for all involved,” said Chris Cosentino, TRA Executive Director.
Here’s how the partnership unfolds:
- Vehicle Donation Program: TRA supporters simply contact CARS or visit the TRA's dedicated vehicle donation webpage at theodoreroosevelt.org/cars. CARS handles all the logistics, including free towing and paperwork, making it easy for donors to participate.
- Supporting TRA Programs: The funds generated from donated vehicles are used by the TRA to continue vital efforts for youth, police and Navy initiatives, as well as various TRA scholarship and award programs.
- Expanding Impact: This partnership allows TRA to reach a broader audience, engaging individuals who might not participate through traditional means but are eager to contribute to a worthy cause by donating vehicles instead of cash.
Through this partnership, both organizations exemplify how creative alliances can sustain and grow the legacy of influential figures like Theodore Roosevelt while providing modern solutions for charitable action.
