THEODORE ROOSEVELT: Enlightened Leadership
Expanding America’s Promise

Overview       Registration       Agenda       Speakers       Information       Sponsorship       Past Annual Meetings

Why Attend
Few presidents have captured the public imagination like Theodore Roosevelt. One need simply open a newspaper or turn on a television to hear presidents, members of congress, governors, sports legends, and newspaper editorial boards hearken to TR’s policies and indomitable spirit.

There is much that modern leaders can draw from the struggles and triumphs of Theodore Roosevelt’s leadership. The 2023 Theodore Roosevelt Association Annual Meeting and Symposium will examine how TR’s Enlightened Leadership still guides us today, and highlights lessons that we can draw from TR in the 21st century.

We will hear from diplomats and thinkers, such as James Holmes. On Friday, noted journalist and author David Ignatius will moderate a panel of distinguished naval strategists on “Building the U.S. Navy to Meet Global Challenges.” Saturday will begin with a panel hand-picked by TRA Trustee Rep. French Hill (R-AR) to discuss the topic “Theodore Roosevelt: Inspiration for the 21st Century, before turning to TR’s leadership as a ‘trust-buster.”  The day will end with a Gala cocktail reception including our traditional award ceremony and a keynote address by General Anothony Zinni, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired). Finally, on Sunday, we will throw a birthday party for Theodore Roosevelt at the National Memorial to TR, which all are invited to attend.
